Flame retardants

If you are looking to increase the fire retardancy of your plastic formulations, we have different products that can help. For halogen free formulations that need to reach high flame retardancy standards, such as the UL-94 V-0 standard, we suggest our synthetic Magnesium Hydroxide (MDH) products. These products can be compounded in high dosage levels, while having an acceptable impact on the mechanical properties. For applications in which the use of halogenated flame retardants, such as bromide compounds, cannot be avoided, our hydrotalcites and derivatives are advised as stabilizers. Our hydrotalcite products will deactivate halogen ions that derive from radicals in the haloganated flame retardants, thereby avoiding several problems, such as the deterioration of polymer properties.
